Our "Tip for the Seasoned Cacher" comes from Listener chico_valdez: "Often when we are out in the woods searching for a cache, we seem to get pitch or sap on our hands after we've touched a tree trunk or branch. Inevitably the sap gets on everything including our GPSR, clothes, or PDA and its really annoying. Trying to wash it off your hands with water just doesn't work. In our caching bag, we carry a small bottle of alcohol based hand sanitizer (like Purell) and we've found it dissolves pitch instantly. Give it a try - you'll also find it very useful for a post bathroom cleanup should the need arise!" |
