We had a
discussion of many topics for the one-hundred twenty-fourth edition
of the GeoGearHeads. Special guest Walt Grogan joined
The Bad Cop and
DarrylW4 started with questions and feedback from the
GeoGearHeads. The first one was a tip from
brilang about the compass in iOS 7.
juris1c asked about a method for getting a GPX file of Munzees, followed by
Limax asking about a way to reduce overlap of Pocket Queries
from Geocaching.com (the
answers were to look at the tools in GSAK and Project-GC or using manually
created route files). Last on the feedback train was a trip report
from
Phillyman who had issues with his GPSR and fell back to his
smartphone as backup. Then came the articles and new releases,
kicked off by an
article on the Verge about the updated Moto G and new Moto E. Finally the panel
talked a little about the
changes to Ingress reported by Android Headlines and there's
more information in INGRESS REPORT -
EP5M.
Congratulations to
juris1c for submitting the winning answer for this week's
question, and to TSandCS for
winning the live drawing. Thanks to GxProxy for their
donation of this week's gifts!
