The tech used
to support events is the topic for the two hundred forty-first
edition of the GeoGearHeads.
The Bad Cop, and
DarrylW4 talked briefly about tools to help before the event,
but referred back to "GGH 120:
Working Together I" went into more depth. The also talked about
tools like GSAK, GPS Babel, and Garmin
basecamp for loading the unpublished or private geocaches on to
GPSRs. Then they mentioned the "Unpublished
Caches on Smartphones for Events" page Darryl created for the
smartphone users. cnlson recommends the iDrive ONE as an option for WiFi
distribution of the GPX files at an event. Glympse was mentioned as a way to
track participants at events. More information about that can be
had from the "GGH 126: Glympse"
