The Bad Cop and DarrylW4 gab without any guest for the
forty-third beta show, the sixth Randomized edition. They started
with a topic submitted by Brightblades about finding containers in good
hiding spots. During a conversation about Siri's odd pronunciation of "Geocaching" they talked
about The
Travel Bugs and their song "To Whom It May
Concern." They talked about using QR Codes
to simplify logging of trackables and caches. Of course the new
iPad mini was discussed as a geocaching tool. As were
reports by Android Central on 32GB 3G Nexus 7 pricing,
the Verge on the manual for the unannounced Nexus
10, and SKUs for the unannounced Nexus 4. They also
talked about the release of the Microsoft
Surface and its possibility of being used for geocaching.
This week only one contributor was entered into the holiday
giveaways. Thanks to Magellan, listeners all over the world have the chance
to win an eXplorist GC. Brand 44
Colorado was also kind enough to provide a Geomate.jr
with Update Kit, Geomate Large Log Cache, and a Geomate Gnome
Cache for those within North America. Along with those four awesome
gifts, the hosts of the GeoGearHeads will be pitching in a few
items themselves to be given away through a drawing on Episode
Beta.48 (November 29, 2012) (details available here).
