Listen to our interview with Happy Humphrey of Isle of Man. His screen name
comes from a professional wrestler William J. Cobb. His motivation for Geocaching came
from a walk on the Southern Upland Way in Southern Scotland. For that hike he picked up the Forerunner 201. Since then he's upgraded to the
for his caching. He prefers to load the caches as
POIs (Point Of Interest) rather than waypoints using a macro for
GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army
Knife). He once flew to the Lake
District in North West England just to be the first to find an
elaborate multi-cache. Another notable multi-cache adventure took
place in the Black Forest of Germany
where he was not able to find the final cache. The closest that he
came to a signature item was to produce the Isle of Man Geocoin. His favorite caching
location was the Black
Forest, but given the chance he would like to return to
California. The favorite caches hides are "The Money
Pit"e (GCX21B) and the "Three Legs" series. The most memorable caching
event was "The
UK's First Mega Event" (GC17W59) where he ran into many of the Cachers
he recognized from logs. For his viewing, he watchings the
"Father Ted" series on television, and "Monty
Python's Life of Brian." He's also a Genesis listener.
