For our third beta release we talked with Chip Noble of DeLorme about 2-way messaging in the field without a cellular data connection. We talked about their inReach both for their Earthmate PN-60w GPSR and for Android devices. He also shared that Chris Korbulic and Ben Stookesberry of the Eddie Bauer/First Ascent Kayakers are using the inReach as they challenge the Zambezi, Kufue, Cunene and Kwanza rivers in Zimbabwe, Zambia, and Angola. He also mentioned the "global encounter" where Toby and David use the inReach to provide tracking to their website.
